Hey beauts, I’m sure you are all aware of the current season change- It’s finally FALL! (Well…almost) But even though it is no longer bikini season, it doesn’t give you an excuse to dive off the deep end with your diet. Whether you’re bundled up for warmth or stripped down to your bare essentials, having a healthy, lean body will never lower your confidence. On the contrary, binging on sweets and processed foods during the cooler months definitely will. Here are some tips on simple changes you can make in your daily routine to leave you feeling healthy, motivated, and guilt free.
1. Eat clean- This one is definitely the hardest, at least for me. I can workout no problem, but when you take away my chocolate… oh, there will be an issue. So trust me, I sympathize with everyone who doesn’t want to trade in their Oreo cheesecake for a bowl of carrot sticks, but sometimes, you just ‘gotta do what you gotta do.’ Try starting off each day with something healthy, that way you will be less tempted to eat bad later. Oatmeal and berries or a yogurt parfait are perfect breakfast ideas that are actually quite delish as well. For lunch, move on to something healthy, but that you still enjoy. The key is moderation and simple replacements. You can eat a pb&j sandwich as long as you’re not loading on the jelly or digging in with a bag of potato chips. You can also eat a yummy salad with all sorts of (healthy) toppings, just make sure the dressing is low cal. Dinner and snacks are my favorite, but they can also lead to the most temptation. This is about the time of the day when a slice of greasy pizza sounds so much more appetizing than grilled salmon and asparagus, but it’s important to keep your eye on the prize- and that prize is a body that you are proud of! P.S. For all those chocolate lovers out there, try dipping some fruit in dark chocolate. It’s the perfect dessert for a girl on a health kick.

2. Tone it up- Along with your super healthy meal plan, it is important to exercise regularly, but please, don’t overdo it! Going to the gym for 2 hours and ”killing yourself” and then never going back again won’t do you any good. Stay consistent! Try to do about 45 minutes to an hour of any type of workout- Get creative! We’re not all runners and athletes, so don’t feel like you have to run a marathon or bench press a human body to get in shape. You can do things like cross fit, kickboxing, and yoga. Just make sure you enjoy it enough to keep up with it on the reg.
3. Hydrate- We left the best for last! And for most people, this is probably the easiest step. You don’t have to shove vegetables down your throat for this one, just drink water! Drinking lots of water will help you flush out the toxins in your body and will actually leave you feeling lighter with more energy! It may also leave you feeling more full, which will prevent you from over eating. So for the next couple of weeks, put down the soda cans, the lattes, and Gatorades and pickup a bottle of water… or 7.
