Welcome back to the studliest series of all: Stud Muffin Sundays. In last month’s post, we discussed how every macho man can rock the perfect pastel. This month, we thought we’d tackle something greatly talked about in the world of men’s fashion. It’s a little something I like to call the “effortless steeze.”
If you’re a guy, and you want to look trendy, go to your local grocery store and pick up a magazine of your preference. There’s Vogue, Seventeen, and Cosmo if you’ve been feeling a little down about your relationship these days. Now, if you’re a guy, and you still want to look like one at the end of this post, you should probably ignore everything I just said. Infact, fashion mags might be your greatest enemy when it comes to this “effortless steeze” thing. So what exactly is this term? If you’re a girl and you’re reading this, I’ve probably already lost you because this word is basically nonexistent in the female language (and the English one if we’re being honest.) But according to a somewhat reliable source (my brother), and a more reliable source (urban dictionary), steeze is just style with ease- AKA the goal for all men in fashion.
For girls, trying hard is often praised. Putting in a little extra time on hair and makeup could make all the difference. But for guys, it’s quite the opposite. A fresh v-neck and printed shorts give off the perfect impression. It says- “I know a little somethin’ about fashion, but not more than the girl I’m about to get with.” Add in some Sperries and some mid-ankle sock action, and you’re golden. Accessorize lightly with a silver watch and some slick shades to pull the whole look together. Throw in a skateboard for an extra laid back feel, and congrats kid, you’ve just went from zero to hero in the stud department.
Until the next Stud Muffin Sunday…
